Summary
Dr Sean Porter has a strong background in marine, terrestrial and aquatic ecology, and a PhD specialising in shallow reef community ecology. He is particularly skilled in sampling design and statistical data analysis, isotope biogeochemistry (C, N & S) for use in trophic studies, and the application and use of satellite remote sensing in the marine environment. Dr Porter likes to get to grips with the bigger picture using wide-scale and multidisciplinary innovative approaches that allow him to integrate different fields of science to solve complex multifaceted ecological problems and has been involved as a specialist consultant in a number of studies.
